Has anyone used SP with PageLines? I have a question for you

I'm trying to use SP with PageLines, but none of the PageLines features will display above the forum. Instead, the forum is at the top, and everything -- even stuff I put in PageLines' header slot in its template editor, displays below.

Because PageLines is far beyond a normal theme, I'm hoping someone here has made these two play well together and can suggest some ways to remedy this problem. PageLines is complicated, and I think I've tried all the options, but I need fresh eyes of someone who has experience with both SP and PL to suggest remedies.

The new site is password protected so I'd have to give you access to it via PM or email if you think seeing it will help solve the problem.

I have never used PageLines but did you try changing the integration options?

On the Forum administration page – Integration – Page and Permalink settings there are options to limit forum display to within WP loop and allowing multiple loading of forum content.
If not you might try changing each one individually and try then both turned on as well.

Yes, I have done exactly that. No combination of the three options helped this problem.

Well it was worth a try.
Depending on what the theme is doing and how it is doing it there is a probable work around for this in 5.1 which we plan to release next week. If I could I would offer you the code changes but they are a little complex and scattered.

Aiming for the 31st. There will be a new option on that integration panel and I suspect this will help.

Hi Grant ,

 we use Pagelines theme and works fine with SP, no problems at all, you may have to tweak the css a bit to integrate in your theme but if you not to fussed all good. Check it out

cheers

Thanks, Alex. Even after the update I'm still having the problem where the forum appears above all the other content. Did you have that problem at any point? Did you have to do anything special to your page named "Forum" in WordPress to make it appear correctly?

So is this after you have turned on the new display option for strict use of the WP API?

Yes. Enabling "Force the strict use of the WP API" removes the forum from the page altogether.

Looking at the page source reveals that Simple:Press is displaying before the

</problem-with-post-edit-buttonead>

tag. That's unexpected.
