I can't seem to find where this code is located. I've looked around the forum Theme Editor at all the different .php pages there, but can't find the code that I see when I right-click on the actual page and select "View Source".
I searched this support forum for this issue and don't see any reference to it.

The code is in the forum theme's spHead.php file the line that calls the sp_MemberButton. You could delete/comment out that line.
But there is a permission option where you can turn off "Can view the members lists" for any or all permissions. If off they won't see the button. Admins always will though.

if you dont want users to see members, you should remove their permission to do so... just removing the button will allow them to 'guess' the url... you can change permissions on forum - permissions - manage permissions... if they dont have permission, button wont be shown...
but you can find the button display logic in the sp theme you are using... the spHead.php template file...
