Hi Simple Press team
1; It appears that simple press breaks in IE9. It is mainly the breadcrumbs and topics page. Attached is the screenshot. Do you think this could be fixed?
2. I had another question for your consideration. I would like to remove a lot of the details from third column in forums page. I'd like the following
"Last Post david- TESTING - 20/02/2016"
changed to
"Last Updated: 20/02/2016"
3. Lastly, the report post plugin dislays the form like this.
Report Questionable PostPoster:
TEST
Post Content:
TESTING DESCRIPTION
How do I move the value next to the key in a horizontal fashion like this?
Report Questionable PostPoster: TEST
Post Content: TESTING DESCRIPTION
Your help is appreciated
Hey Shane,
1. I've tried to download a version of IE9 to test this out, but unfortunately according to Microsoft it won't run on Windows 10, couldn't say why of course.
My guess would be that the display issues are due to a lack of Flex Box support in IE9, but then we're talking about a 5 year old browser so that doesn't surprise me. My problem here would be knowing what to add without having a version to test.
2. First of all I'm assuming you're actually talking about group view (the front page) as forum view doesn't display the topic name. So to do this you will need to make a child theme (download framework here), then copy the group view template into your child themes templates folder - Note, depending on what theme you're using this could be either in the themes 'templates' folder, or the themes 'templates > desktop / templates > mobile' folder.
Then you will want to find the function 'sp_ForumIndexLastPost'. You can change the label at the end of the function from 'Last Post' to 'Last Updated', you can remove the user by using the argument 'user' such as 'user=0', however I'm not sure there is a way of removing it printing the topic that's been updated. See Here for a full list of arguments and their uses.
Now I am a Mac user so have not had the pleasure of using IE since, oh gosh - IE6. But I rather thought that Reboot had been pretty well fully tested on IE9.
So - I may have this all wrong but did I hear tell of an option setting that allowed IE7 - IE9 to work in some sort of 'compatibility mode' with IE6? If so do you have that turned on?

Hi Ike and Yellow Swordfish
You can have IE9 if you install a windows 7 virtual image. Its free I believe from modern ie sites. The compatibility mode was on too.
Hey Ike, Could you please address the third question too. And with the second question I had a look at all the arguments but it was not clear which argument would remove the topic title from the third column.
Thanks for all your help again
On the IE9 question I was really meaning does it still do this with the compatibility mode turned off? Compatibility mode meant compatible with older versions of IE which, of course, were notoriously non-standard. IE9 itself was, as far as I know, a much better version.

I'm currently trying to get a version working locally so I can test, but as Andy said previously I'm fairly sure when I was on Windows 8 we had covered all bases as far as testing. We've also had no other reports of this happening in well over the year that Reboots been released, and if it is broken that surprises me as there are of course hundreds and thousands of people still using older browsers.
Sorry but as I posted above I don't think it's possible to remove the topic title from the Last Post column, there is definitely no argument to do so although perhaps it's something we should consider as it's different to the Last Post column in forum view. Unless Andy or Steve know of a way..
As for the Report Post question firstly sorry, I had meant to answer it but sometimes when you have a few questions in one it's easy to miss something. I don't think it's really going to be possible to arrange it any differently than it is. It uses a form to display the information so what you have is labels and paragraphs. I'm also not sure why you'd want to as the post I tested to see how the form was constructed was a very large post, and having this quantity of text directly after and under the 'Post Content' label could be somewhat confusing.
OK, I'm replying to this using IE9 which I was able to obtain from http://utilu.com. I experience no issues at all unless I run it in compatibility mode. Have you tried running with it turned off?
I'd be interested to know if anyone else reading this uses IE9 and if they've encountered any issues?
It's close and maybe not exact dupe but running Edge in iE9 mode works.
