I appears you are running a custom SP theme and have not updated the CSS for WP 3.6.1 changes with the ui dialog.
Take a look at the codex here. http://codex.simple-press.com/.....tes-5-3-0/ where it lists theme changes.
Especially the part about popup dialogs.
Thanks for the reply.
Yes. this is a custom theme. What i did was
1.download the new updated default theme. (1.2.3)
2.customize the theme from scratch
3.change it to the new customized theme.
It means, i didn't use my previous customized theme since changes were minor (like icons etc)
and i am using the most updated SP version. Simple:Press Version 5.3.3
can you tell me how to double check things?
Brandon gave you the link to the changes.. verify its in the theme... a quick look and I can see you still have z-index of 100 vice that page that says to change it to 1... for example...
you are running a theme called joon-theme-2 which did not start from one of our core themes... just verified that all our current themes have the z-index of 1 where as yours has 100...

Hi thank you all for replying.
that is really strange. i tested this in our local server
1. Because of your suggestion, I have re-downloded the NEW default theme at https://simple-press.com/downl.....ad-themes/
2. I didn't customize it but just changed the theme to Default 1.2.3
3. the problem still exists. screen is blurry when logged out, but it shows images correctly when i am logged in.

question:
1. this means that I have to check the code after I download the new theme?
2. when i change the theme it says "please wait" and it doesn't change fast but have to click twice to change the theme. it means parts of the code is lost??

i am just confused, am i the only one facing this problem?
thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate it.
OK - just seen the files you sent and they are identical to our default theme file so no problem with the CSS being current. And I assume you are using the most recent version of Simple:Press - correct?
So - do you have any other WordPress plugins installed that performs this lightbox type behaviour on images in posts? Could it be having an effect in the forum page?

I am quite confused how this is not working... or how its different for guests vs users...
but since its your own theme, in joon-theme-2.php, change either:
line 1776 to
z-index:1;
or line 1679 to
z-index: 200;
