Just using the basic default theme without making changes to the coding.. my display for the wordpress login box.. the user name input and pw inputs are not lined up? anyone know why? Here is a pic to show what i mean

what build of 5.0? are you running latest from svn? or nightly? or the last update in wp updater>
and really would need a link to see what is going on...

I also jut noticed .. when Im logged into the forum as the administrator ,, the drop down menu for "select forum" is broken and I cant actually post "new topic" when I hit the button.. u can see from the url... the action is recognized in the browser bar but the input box never appears when i press the "new topic" button
When I am logged in as a moderator or a member this appears just fine

its your wp theme doing strange things... in this case, its floating left all input elements... awful greedy...
line 1006 of your style.css for the wp theme...
easiest fix is probably in your sp theme, the reset.css file, that first big style definition at the top... add this to the existing styles:
float:none;
