When a topic has the status: locked, the icon for "new post" will not shown anymore, but for others topics it works.
The link for the missing icon.png looks like this:

So, something went wrong with the permalink in this case, I think. Any ideas?

well when the topic is locked, it should not be displaying the new post button at all since you cannot add a reply - unless you were logged in as the admin... is that the case?
let me take a look and see if I can replicate...

yes, there seems to be an issue there... with FF it just doesnt show but no missing icon graphic like your browser which is why we probably didnt notice...
will get a ticket opened and get it fixed up...

Yes, I was logged in as admin. In the case of being logged out, no buttons are shown anymore.
Also no "locked" button! (does it matter for guests, if the topic is locked or not?!)

depends... can guests start topics or reply to posts?
the locked icon is only shown to those who can actually post there...

Great, the fix works now.
- Guests see no buttons (have not rights to post)
- Members see the "locked" button and not the "new post" button,
- Admin/Mod see all icons, so he can add posts in the status of "locked"
