Hi

I´m forced to use "Plain text" in my forum. Can I insert a "Preview button" and how?

Thank you

Forced to?
I am afraid we have not created a proper preview as yet - not as easy as it sounds. It is a task I am hoping to achieve for 5.1. Unless someone else writes a plugin for this before then of course!

It´s because I simply can´t get TinyMCE to work. It´s maybe something to do with another pluginn? I don´t know. But plain text is also fine for me, so I just wait and see in some future updates 🙂

Most usually this will come down to javascript problems and more often than not (although not always of course) it will be connected to the way jQuery is loaded. This will also usually effect other SP funtions as well as other plugins.

This codex article explains this problem and tells you how you can find out easily enough if it applies to your site: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/

Oh boy, I "hate" MS Explorer cry

The TinyMCE plugin is working perfect in Firefox & Google Crome. it´s ´only` Explorer I have the problem 🙁

you are not alone in hating IE...  it really lags behind the other browsers - unfortunately some folks are stuck using it or just dont know there is better...  IE 9 made huge strides over previous versions but still behind...  IE 10 actually looks promising and hopefully can end the days of all the special logic for IE...

as Andy says, probably a js conflict of sorts...  and can affect IE only because each browser has their own js engine...

It isa new plugin coming with or just after 5.1 is released which we are running here as it gives us a good testing ground.
