actually it only removes it from the main forum, on the subforums it shows, is there anyway to move the forum toolset button on the subforums? they pop up and hover very close to the last post link and sometimes it shows the open forum toolset link, sometimes it will show the text bubble from the last post, it might be better on the right hand side of the display
It definitely shouldn't be hiding anything else. I've tested locally and by just adding the hide argument to the editor array in spForumSubView.php everything works fine including the toolset..
You can move the tool button pretty easily. It's generated in the spForumView.php template, just look for the sp_TopicForumToolButton function, and move it to where you like. You can also style the button in the stylesheet iForum.php by looking for the class:
