Checking a clients site logs due to multiple problems occurring regularly of late I came across this in the reboot theme error log. It's recording it multiple times daily and has been since day of install on 30th April. Bare with me I'm fragile today.

In the error it looks like the include() call url seems a bit wrong, coding bug?

wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes/reboot/styles/../..//styles/overlays/light-blue.php

Full Error -

[23-May-2015 15:03:44 UTC] PHP Warning: include(): Failed opening '/problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/mysite/public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes/reboot/styles/../..//styles/overlays/light-blue.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/mysite/public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes/reboot/styles/reboot.php on line 25

the double slash looks a bit suspect...nothing wrong with the double dots...

but something else is odd... what theme are you running??  it seems to be reboot, but then looking for a parent...  which it shoudnt since reboot itself is a parent...

is this our unedited reboot theme?

Just reboot, I've taken all the other themes off too & it's never seen a child file.

PS yes same site unedited up till friday gone when I turned a few showtitle's to off an showbadge to on 🙂

okay, will look around and see where reboot might be trying to grab a child (it shouldnt)... but might need Ike since its his labor of love... and being a holiday weekend, time is short...

as to your last comment, I hope you didnt edit the base reboot theme?  if so, you will lose your changes when you update it...  We always strongly recommend you create a child theme or your own theme before making edits so as not to lose your changes...  see https://simple-press.com/docum.....ild-theme/ and/or https://simple-press.com/docum.....g-a-theme/

btw, what version of reboot is this?  and version of simple press?

can you go to forum - themes - theme list and just update your theme? just click on update overlay...

for some reason, looks like the theme data isnt saved right...

reboot 1.0.2

Simle press 5.5.6

I'm aware of the changes disappearing up on update but I'm able to cover it in a few seconds anyway because they are minor tag switches. It's much easier for me to directly edit than add a child with my bipolar brain.

No worries about it being the holidays, it is here too In the UK,  I've got a 50mb wordpress + simplepress mysql DB to error scrub by hand - so I'm in no rush lol
