Reboot missing overlays

I just purchased the Reboot theme and the "Overlays" folder is empty. I downloaded it and unzipped it again and it's still empty. Is there something about installing it that I'm not understanding. I was able to get the theme activated and I've changed the names in the template files as per the instructions but the forum still looks exactly the same and there are no options available in Theme Management. I'm brand new to this so I figure it's my mistake but don't know what I should be doing or did wrong.

I just downloaded Reboot same as you and all the overlays are in the folder as expected. So...

Let;s check the most obvious thing. Did you download the Reboot child theme framework by mistake?

And what do you mean by 'changed the names in the template files as per the instructions'?

I downloaded the link that was emailed to me (both times). When I installed it, I don't remember exactly what it said  but I think it was something about needing a parent to work. Possibly it was different but  it was something like that.

I looked at the files on my server and I unzipped the folder on my computer and the images folder has 3 empty folders/ and 1 empty subfolder inside of it, the only actual thing it has is the .css file. The templates folders are empty too, I do have 8 .php files in it. Outside of those 2 folders I have a spTheme.jpg and spTheme.txt and a Word file.

The name changes I made were to the headers of the php files, the file name of the css file and the folder that holds the theme. I was following what I thought  I was supposed to do:

"it is strongly recommended that the theme be renamed from the generic name/title that came in the framework so that a completed child theme will not be overwritten if the child theme framework is accidentally or intentionally downloaded again into the SP theme folder."

"It is strongly recommended that all of the child theme’s files have their header updated with the child theme’s title and other information to reflect they are associated with the child theme."

The theme didn't activate until I had done that so I presumed I was doing it right.

Edit - I also have the styles folder with 2 empty folders and a .css that I also renamed

So yes - that is the Reboot Child Theme Framework you have there. That needs the main, parent Reboot theme to work with it. Just like a WordPress theme and child theme.

Ok, I didn't notice there was a parent and I child, doh. I'm downloading the main theme and I'll go from there.

Thanks

Edit, yep it worked right away. TY
