Is there a way to embed the WP-Post Ratings into the forum's first post as you would with a regular Wordpress post?
So I don't confuse anyone I'm simply looking to use this plugin within Simple-Press.

I assume thats a wp plugin? if it works via a shortcode, you should be
able to put it in a post... but not sure what that would do... it will
think every forum page is the same wp page since it cannot distinguish...
and why not just use the SP post rating plugin? lets you rate forum
posts...

SP Post Rating does work in the same way as WP-Post Ratings does though, WP calculates all user's votes on one single post to an over all average. SP Post Rating is kinda functions like a facebook "like" for each individual reply.
I'd like users to be able to rate things collectively, the thread starter being the only one who can embed ratings into the OP.

well, I kind of explained how if it supports shortcodes... just use the shortcode in your post... but I also mentioned it might not work since the forum displays ALL content on a single wp page... and thus the plugin would think every vote no matter what forum post it was in was for the single wp page...

and just to be clear, our post rating plugin DOES aggregate all the ratings for posts within a topic and show the average for the topic...
