Simple Press Themes Not Updating

Hi,

I've been having an issue where my themes are not updating when I go to the Wordpress updates section and go through the update process. When I update all the themes I'm told that the themes have been updated straight away but nothing changes and the themes are still the old version.

Not sure if this is a common problem or if anyone else has encountered it.

To run you through what I've done:

1. Updated Simple Press to 5.1 (completed)
2. Updated all plugins to current versions (works fine)
3. Go to update SP Themes to latest versions, update process asks for password etc. Looks like it's doing something but then completes the process straight away and says update complete. The versions of the themes are stuck at for example 1.0.11 for the default theme, when the current version is 1.1.1. Wordpress tells me that I still have updates for all the themes available.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Steven

actually, no, its not a common problem... in fact, no other reports of such behaviour...  and quite odd that its themes and not plugins... almost identical code and process...

assume you get asked for the password on plugins too?   1.0.11 was quite old (latest was .15) but shouldnt matter...

out of curiosity, what happens if you try one at a time?  wonder if its just timing out... and the completed message is just WordPress being stupid, I think...  unless it cant find the file, it just reports success...

Correct, when I update Simple: Press itself and the plugins I get asked the password through the wordpress update screen, it goe sthrough all the processes and you can actually see them updating on the screen.

With the themes update, it basically goes straight to an update complete message as soon as the password has been entered, so it seems like it isn't actually updating anything.

I've tried doing them individually and as a group and get the same result.

I've attached some screenshots of what occurs if that helps

too bad you have to use ftp vs the more standard direct download...

Could you download the updated themes from our download page and manually ftp them up?  and then lets see if it repeats on the next series?  since this is a one off, a bit in the dark...

I'll give that a go and see how the next update goes, might just be a one off problem that a manual update might rectify. I'll keep you updated.

Thanks
