OK - really long story short. I'm adding a news ticker type RSS feed display my own RSS news at the top of the my forums. I am noticing that the RSS link generated by the form works well and good as a bookmark but doesn't seem to play nice with various widgets and other code solutions within Wordpress.

Example (and this seems to be the case for nearly every RSS feed displaying plugin I could test).

• I goto the forum and generate my RSS link
• Goto the plugin (take http://wordpress.org/extend/pl.....-rss-feed/ for instance)
• Enter the code and hit save
• What I seem to be seeing is the RSS feed for my Wordpress posts and not the actual forum RSS feed in every single plugin I try.
• However - if I just bookmark the forum RSS feed in Firefox all is well and looks correct

I am wondering if I have some settings muddied up or anything, I mean it seems to be working - there is just some strangeness. As a comparison I took RSS feed from the Simple:Press support forum and put it into the plugin above and it worked as expected.
