Theme goes up into my banner?

On my site i have my normal theme with a banner and topp links above the banner and links below the banner...but the background color of simplepress goes up into and covers the banner up any help? see pic below

Try this but after you make this change you will need to go through your site to make sure there is no unwanted side-effect.

Open up your Wp theme style.css file. Around line 152 you will find the rules for

.post

Add this new rule:

clear: both;

into the block and try it.
