Theme update available, even though theme is up to date

I am running WP multi-site with Simple:Press. I have fully updated Simple:Press components, yet the WP Update system would not update the Simple:Press default theme for me. I manually updated the them and Simple:Press recognises the theme version that is currently installed. ie: V1.2.1

Yet Simple:Press is telling me there is a theme update available and in the Wordpress updates section it is stating the following.

Default
You have version 1.0.11 installed. Update to 1.2.1. Requires SP Version 5.1.

 

Any ideas?

has this remained?  the update info is stored in the wp options db so could take a couple refreshes to get it cleared out...

also, check your themes folder on server and make sure you dont have a duplicate folder with a 1 or some other number on the directory name...
