Ok. Feeling really stupid. Did some searches and read the codex but still don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Brand new install of V5.

I uploaded a couple themes to the proper folder: wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins

Storage location is set properly.

I've tried both zipped and unzipped folders, logged out, cleared the cache and they still don't show up in the themes menu.

(Same for the plugins, but that could be another forum thread.)

Thank you.

Actually, I just copied the wrong location.

Checked in the FTP. They are in the right folder.

Dumb question: When I upload by FTP, should they be zipped or unzipped?

unzipped...  should be a directory for each plugin... and then the contents in their... if you unzip the file on your machine, you will get the directory and its contents... just upload to that folder...

Obviously I'm not doing something correctly.

Unzipped and uploaded themes and plugins. Neither one is appearing in the menu.

Queston: After reading the wiki, is the folder for the plugins already created or do I have to create it?

(Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.)

Marsha just an example, just say you wanted to download and use the profanity plugin, unzip it then you with have a folder called sp-plugin-profinity-filter, open this folder then you will see a folder proainity filter, place this folder in the right directory and hopefully all should be well. Worth a try.

This might help as well: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-plugins/
The same applies to themes.

Check at your forum admin > integration > storage locations for the folders and paths and check they are writable....
