uploading files to unified theme on mobile devices

Hi, I cannot figure out how to use the File Uploader plugin on a mobile (using the Unified Theme).

It looks like the only way to do it is to drag the files to the upload window (that's what the message says anyway), but I don't think this is possible, at least on my iphone.

Thanks

The plUpload component used is created by Moxie (the people who make the TinyMCE editor) so we are really tied as faer as any changes go! For mobile use you really just need to tap on the 'Add Files' button. On an iPhone this should then prompt you for permission to access your photo image library so you can thn select your images to upload. Works really well for me...

What browser are you using? I had the same issue with safari, Yellow recommended using Mercury to me and it works perfect with that

Good point. I didn't think of that. I am so used to NOT using Safari which is, in my humble opinion a travesty of a browser - that I overlooked that.

I will run some tests using Safari when i am able. In case we need to file a bug with Moxie.

Thanks for the feedback.

If I tap on 'Add files' in the plugin window using Mercury on my iphone, it works. I get to select from my photo library.

But it doesn't when using the standard Safari browser. What are you using, Yellow?

edit: just seen your post, not Safari by the sound of it. Please let me know if your tests show the same.

Well as I said above I really, really dislike Safari. It has a lot of problems especially in it's JavaScript engine which the uploader relies on. But I will look into it.

As kvr28 said above - I use the Mercury browser which I feel is a far superior piece of kit.
