Using firefox looks fine, you can see the link that was cut off
It looks fine with unified theme with chrome

That’s strange isn’t it.. I’ve gotta say you are pretty good at finding all these oddities!
As far as mobile testing goes it’s a bit of a minefield. You can test in responsive design view on a desktop but you can’t account for any changes in what is supported rule wise in the same browser on a mobile. And inspecting CSS on a mobile is another story entirely 
I’ll do a few tests and see if I can spot anything obvious.
I thought it was something special here, I don’t see them on my site.

that is a big fat new smiley/emoji from wp 4.2… we are going to have to do something to handle it…
yeah, those are a little annoying. Why does Ike’s show small but mine and yours show so big?
my guess is he edited the smiley in post content and added the width clause to the img tag… probably what we will do for all wp smileys…
unfortunately will mean a 5.5.6 tied to WP 4.1…
