Support Forum
Hi Everyone
FIRSTLY, I have imported from Aspagaros forum and everything came through perfectly (on my dev site) , apart from all links are "double up" for example

the red being the dev site , the purple being the location (surrounded by quotes for some reason)
SECONDLY, my site has user roles such as
guest (not logged in)
subsriber (logged in)
member (logged in and enhanced user)
admin (logged in admin)
Is it possible that I can "mass" role these people for the simple press forum, i.e. give everyone in "member" one role, everyone in "subscriber" another ?
I have had a look at settings, it looks like its possible, but I need to check, with over 30,000 users I dont want to do it manually.
FINALly, Whilst "dipping my toe in the water" on the early stages of the forum, if I were on a package such as the Platinum/Gold bundle for the first year, then decided the forum was running well in the second year and I had not "messed" with it, and did not continue the subscription, would this then close the entire forum down , or limit anything such as a theme that I had in place?
Thank you in advance for a response.
You should be able to take your user roles and map them to existing user groups in Simple:Press forums. Look under FORUMS->USER GROUPS->MAP USERS TO USER GROUP.
There, you can set your roles that map to Simple:Press groups. Normally, these are only processed at the time a user is added to the system or when the user's role changes. But, at the very bottom of the screen is a button that allows you to immediately process all users in the system.
Regarding pricing - when your subscription expires the forum will continue to work just like most other WordPress plugins. You will just not receive updates and support if your license is expired.
I don't have a clue about the first issue. So many factors go into importing from other forums its almost impossible to figure out what might be causing an issue without some serious hands on troubleshooting. That kind of intense hands-on troubleshooting help though falls squarely into the 'custom work' category. Maybe someone else in the community who has done an Asgaros import might be able to offer some insight if they ran into a similar issue.
Alternatively there is a flat fee import service - I think its described at the bottom of the importer product page. It might cover any development work to fix duplicated links. If that might be a route you can go use the contact form to describe your volume and such to find out for sure that it would be a covered item in the service.
Thanks.
