I like the look and ease that THIS forum has and would like to have my site mimic it if possible.
I have a Grey/light grey skin currently and it is pretty blase'....

You can install it via the FORUM->THEMES->THEME UPLOADER screen.
It comes with 12 different colors - you can choose the color "overlay" on the FORUM->THEMES screen.

Follow up - Mine has text - here I see what looks like TinyMCE RTF. Is this also a plugin or a default setting I missed somewhere along the way?

You have a choice of editors but the default one is just plain text. To get the TinyMCE one, you need that editor plugin - located here: https://simple-press.com/downl.....or-plugin/
