I would like to hire someone who can make it so I can add one post into multiple forums, kind of like how you can add one WordPress blog post into multiple categories.

I would also like to be able to remove posts in bulk by clicking a column to the left of all posts (in Admin view only) that has a checkbox and then a move/delete feature.

The nature of our site is that the posts are put into individual state forums. Someone living in California isn't going to look into Utah's category/forum so they miss out on the post if it is not in there. We have to manually copy and paste into each state's forum right now. If a post is for CA, OK, LA, NC, UT, MO, for example, we have to copy and paste the one post six times and the members viewing the site that day see the posts on the recent list 6 times so it is confusing.

And, we are posting 20 to 30 times a day so this is very time consuming.

Our posts expire too because we put an end date in the title and the nature of the content is that it expires so at the end of each month we move the expired posts into the Expired Forum. Some posts expire and need to get deleted. Recently we had 28 pages of 25 posts each that had to be manually deleted one at a time and this is VERY time consuming.

Please let me know if the Bulk Add/Bulk Delete is possible.

Thank you.

Interesting idea. And I can certainly see your need for such a plugin.

May I suggest you wait a bit longer for Simple:Press v5 to be released? I'm assuming you are using the SP4xx version. Soon it will be replaced, and completely not compatible with v5.

So your efforts (and money) will be in vain unless you never plan to upgrade and that wouldn't be a good idea.

Also what you want will be much easier to implement in v5, and without touching core code so you will be able to get updates and such without losing your custom code.

Just my two cents wink

Lee,

Thanks for your input. I am using Version 4.4.5. If you think I should wait until version 5 I am fine with that. Do you know when that may happen?

v5.0 is currently in alpha testing... and in use on our site now... beta is in about a month... final release towards the end of the year...

While I wouldnt recommend using 5.0 alpha on a live site (despite working great for us!), when we reach beta, it would certainly be feasible... and 5.0 supports plugins for simple press, so what you want could be fairly easy to add... of course, someone has to write it... wink

Sweet! Sounds good to me. I can definitely wait for something better and easier. I will have to revisit my post when 5.0 is available to see if anyone would make this up for me.

Thanks!
