yup. like I said, will be early next week at the earliest... Andy back then, but may take him few days to get through the piles of life to go through when one takes 3 weeks of vacation (lucky dog!)...

Cool, no hurry at all. I'm just grateful for any assistance you guys can provide on the import. Would love to start using SPF  wink

Heya,

I set up a clean WordPress & Simple Forum install and tried the SMF import but it was not able to convert the same 2 forums again. Is there a way to see more verbose logging from the importer?

Tried the bbPress import as well but it's stuck after creating the user data...

It does sound like a data issue of some sort. I don't see the database in my piles of emails I have to go through. Did you send it yet?

I did about a week ago - shall I send it again? I sent it to support {AT} simple-press {DOT} com...

Great, thanks for the confirmation. Looking forward to hearing from you guys whenever you have time... eager to get Simple Press up and running as the features look fantastic. cool

Just remembered, my SMF version 2 database might have been an "RC" version - would that cause any issues with the importer you think? (But then again, most of the forums imported properly so it's probably a data issue as suggested...)

I don't know why or how, but after trying again the importer managed to convert all my SMF forums over at last! http://kaitech.hk/forum/

  1. What's wrong with the layout, does that have something to do with the tables I used for the first post?
  2. How can I change the "home" breadcrumb? It's currently set to 'wordpress.imac'. (Is there a checklist of things I should do when moving wp_sf tables from localhost to the live site?)
