sadly, a bit disappointed in myself since I wrote the reputation plugin, but currently it lacks any direct hooks to notify others when reputation is given/received...
there are some hooks that can be used, but doubt they would work for mycred since you would have to hook in and then check a variable to see if it was a reputation action or not...
I have actually never used mycred (and Andy wrote our plugin) so could be wrong, but assuming you specify a hook and then award a mycred value... is that correct? or can you use the hook, check a variable and decide if to award?
still, I will open a ticket as we should have direct hooks too...maybe I can even try to get it updated this weekend...

It should do what you want now, I think.. just pushed out an update that fires a hook when reputation is given... includes user sending, user receiving, amount and receiving users new total...

I think there might still be a step required to get this fully working with the MyCred plugin.
I'm guessing you've created these hooks from the Rep system end, but they're not currently showing up in the "hooks" section in the MyCred options (where I can then assign MyCred points to each of the hooks you've created).
Here's a screenshot of the bit I mean:
Might just be I'm doing something wrong, but your input is appreciated either way.

well, that is what I asked in first post... I have never used the wp mycred plugin... we of course cant modify it... or did you mean the simple press mycred? Andy will be back next week and perhaps he will know... if I can tomorrow, I will try to look at them more... I was under impression from your first post you just needed a hook in reputation (which should have been there anyways)...

OfflineYour "thanks" plugin and the main simplepress plugin each add a section into the MyCred configuration options (in my screnshot above). I'm not sure how that's achieved, but would assume this is down to your SP mycred plugin and doesn't require the actual mycred plugin to be changed.
In my original question, I didn't know if or how it could be done (to give mycred points when rep is added) but it now sounds like the SP mycred plugin would need to do the same thing for the hooks in the Rep system.

as mentioned Andy wrote the mycred stuff, so perhaps I am missing a step... I will try to look into tonight after work, but I am moving into new house today too, so may not get to it until tomorrow... but will let you know...
