Hi I'm a new user and have just installed the free version to trial. No links seem to work, do I have to put in a licence somewhere?

I can click on items in the left menu eg: Forums, Options, Components, User Groups etc but I can't click on anything within the page options.

So if I click on Forums, it says 'there are no groups defined' . So I click on Create New Group, nothing happens and hovering over any of the links in the sub-menu shows the same link eg:

/wp-admin/admin.php?page=simple-press%2Fadmin%2Fpanel-forums%2Fspa-forums.php#

I'm thinking either a licensing issue, installation issue or an incompatibility issue but no idea where to start troubleshooting?

Thanks Kim

no license key required...  core plugin totally free and functional...

sounds like you have a js issue in the admin...  check your browser console for any errors...

for detailed support, please open a topic in the support forum as this is for pre membership queries...

Hi and thankyou for your response. I have tried to check my browser console but not 100% sure where to look so to rule out a 'computer issue' I have tried it on another computer which is running Win 10 with all updates applied. I have also tried it in Chrome, Firefox & IE to no avail.

I understand your have said that this is not the right forum to post in but as a current free user, I do not appear to have access to the support forum.

I'm quite happy to pay and will be purchasing the full package with all plugins but not if I can't get this to work with my current theme and plugins as changing these is not an option. So if the issue is due to an incompatibility, I will have to find an alternative forum plugin unfortunately 🙁 Thanks Kim

you could try disabling other plugins and switch to wp theme to narrow down or see if conflict..  might just be some plugin hijacking ajax requests...
