Support Forum
Hello! Looking to possibly switch to Simple:Press but have a few questions.
Are users able to reply to forums directly from their email?
Are admins able to remove old uploads easily and/or have them drop off after a certain amount of time?
Can you control all login, password reset, lock & delete users (but not their posts) via the forum controls?
Hi Darah!
Great to hear that you are thinking of moving to Simple:Press. I hope that my questions will help you decide. The basic plugin is as you already know free and in addition to that we have quite a few addons that can be purchased individually or bundled in the Simple:Press Pro subscription where you get all the addons.
Now to your questions:
1. Are users able to reply to forums directly from their email?
We have an addon that allows users to do just that. You can have a look at it here https://simple-press.com/downl.....il-plugin/
2. Are admins able to remove old uploads easily and/or have them drop off after a certain amount of time?
The uploads addon is one of our most popular addons. This allows you to easily configure what kind of files and sizes you allow you users to upload. There is no automatic expire-functionality in the uploads addon. However the folders are created based on dates, which allows admins with full access. to the site to easily handle older uploads.
3. Can you control all login, password reset, lock & delete users (but not their posts) via the forum controls?
You can list and handle the forum users in Simple:Press but deleting users and password handling is done using WordPress build in functionality.
However, all the permissions regarding which forums certain users can access are managed within Simple:Press and can be configured pretty much in any way you like.
I hope that we have answered your questions. If not, please do not hesitate to get back to us again!
Best regards,
Joakim @ Simple:Press
