Support Forum
Hi guys,
I hope someone can help as I've not had any answers to my email (sent 22nd Feb) - I purchased the Subscriptions plugin https://simple-press.com/downl.....ns-plugin/ for $19
When I uploaded it to my site it crashed everything and the whole forum vanished (including the admin control panel) - I had to get in and delete it via the website control panel!
I've tried unzipping the file on my computer but it won't open, so I can't even upload it that way.
Can you guys take a look at this please and offer a fix or a refund as it's useless to me at the moment?
Thanks
Rachel
Perhaps you bess start by describing how you uploaded it and to where you uploaded it.

just downloaded a copy myself and works like a champ... no issue extracting from the zip archive...

Hi - I uploaded it via the Simple press forum plugin uploader - but I think something must be wrong with the download as it won't unzip on my hard drive.
I've had no issues with the picture uploader Pulpload... it installed perfectly and can be unzipped without an issue.
I've also tried de-activating every plugin I have with my WP theme (OptimizePress) in case there was a clash there and it makes no difference as soon as the subscriptions plugin is installed everything crashes!
I'm using the latest version of Wordpress and all plugins are up-to-date and Simplepress version 5.6.4
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Rachel
I agree that if you are unable to unzip on your local PC then it does suggest something is wrong with the package you downloaded. Have you tried removing it and downloading a fresh copy? As Mr papa said above - and I can conform - the current zip from our store page seems to be just fine.
If the same thing happens then it would be helpful if you could look in your php error log. A complete 'white-out' usually implies some sort of fatal code error. This could happen if there was a corruption in the zip but I am not discounting the possibility of some sort of function conflict. It is rare but it can happen. The error log would have an entry stating the reason for the 'fatal error'.

- If you visit out site - login with the username and password you signed up for - go to your account page (link at the bottom of every store page) then there should be a download link there enabling you to download purchased plugins again.
- I have received no emails from you regarding recent problems and I do monitor the contact emails.
- The warning message you are receiving quite clearly states what one of the problems is. No such file or directory at /wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/index/sp-subscriptions-plugin.php...
Why is the folder named 'index'? It needs to be 'subscriptions' which is the name of the folder it unzips to. We do not use a folder name of 'index' anywhere in SP.

Yay - thank you so much that has done it!
The reason it's called index is that's how it downloaded when I 'saved file as' so that it stayed in zip from... see screenshot.
This time I tried download file and it was fine 🙂
I emailed on 22nd Feb about the issue - not sure why it didn't arrive. But anyway, many thanks for sorting this out 🙂
