I think I´m done now

After several years with PHPBB it was now time to move into a new forum. This time it should be fully integrated with WordPress and the choice fell (of course) on Simple:Press. Now I think we're done and we are very pleased for our new forum 🙂

congrats! finally! wink  looks good though I would recommend ditching the sidebar on the forum page...

how is it that you have added social logins to the front page on your forum - is that a plugin

Nope. built into SP core.  Janrain RPX 3rd party login.  You will need to create an account on Janrain.  But see forum - components - login and registration for details...  try the popup help...

I am a new member and have been trying to find info on how to get rid of the sidebar, is there a step by step for that somewhere ?

Well that is down to your WP theme so not really an SP issue.
Many themes these days do come with a full-width-page type template so that would be the first place to look if you wanted to remove it. Theme templates are assigned on the write page WP admin screen...
