Add Topic Button and Profile Tabs Are Not Working in Simple-Press Upgrade

Hi, we're running into these issues since we upgraded. The "Add Topic" button in our forum is not working. When users click on the button to add new Topics, it doesn't display the form. However, it seems to be working fine in our old WordPress site that is still running Simple-Press 5.5.3 but not in the upgraded one. We're running the latest version of Simple-Press - 5.7.3.

Also, user profile tabs are broken. When users click any of the tabs such as Options, User Groups, Permission, etc. on the Profile page, it opens a new browser window and displays an error. Please check the screenshot.

99.9% of the time that something like the Add Topic button fails it comes down to a scripting conflict that is killing off the jQuery library session which just stops functioning when it hits an error.

The way to check for this is to open the browsers web console - have it set for errors - load the page and then click the button. This will show any errors encountered in the console. If you are unsure how to use the console it is very easy and this quick guide should help.

It is probably worth doing the same test with the profile as well althpogh this may well be related of course.

Hi @yellow-swordfish, thanks for replying. I tested in the Browsers Web Console and when I click the Add Topic button, it is showing me an error in conflict with Simple-Press jQuery file error. Please see attached.
