Hi there, I am too having issues on a site of one of our clients with windows 8 / ie10. I think vtip is the culprit. Is there any way to disable the vtip tooltip enhancer on the forum and let normal tooltips take over? Maybe this will resolve the problems,,

Yes indeed.

You need to make a small edit to your Simple:Press theme. In this case the spFunctions.php file which is in the /templates folder of the theme you are using. You can do this using the theme editor from the forum admin.

In the following define:

define('SP_TOOLTIPS', true);

change the true to false.

And please do let us know the outcome...

wow - that's a surprise.

If everyone else with the problem can try this as well - may as well get some more confirmations.

We can try and discover what the problem is although trying to find problems with any version of IE can be a bit of a nightmare smile

I would say a big thank you for the debugging effort. That is much appreciated.

PROBLEM: IE 10 with windows  8 - Logged in users forum links not working on the Forum front page .... them we don't know after that.
Yes I have the same problem but I can't find the spFunctions.php file in my theme folder.
The file to be edited is the related  to the function.php included in my theme folder?
or is the function.php file included in /wp-content/themes-ai1ec/vortex/ ?

Thanks in advance

no, not the wp theme, the sp them...  so look in wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes/xxxx  where xxxx is the sp theme you are using...  then drill down to the template files directory...
