No - it was made available in SP 5.4.2. Plus it is working as expected in the test I just ran... That's SP 5.5.0  with the latest Captcha plugin and using the Unified SP theme.

Just tried the default theme and stacked theme and things look good there, but not in Unified 1.0.4 oddly enough.
