Hi Guys,

Every 7 or so days we get 10 or so errors appear in the error logs that are all identical to the following except for the time:

([Wed Jun 10 13:33:43.557380 2015] [:error] [pid 29501] [client 92.xxx.231.xxx:42147] PHP Warning - opendir(/problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/ACCOUNT/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/styles/icons/default/custom//): failed to open dir: No such file or directory - file: /simple-press/admin/library/spa-support.php - line: 208 - function: spHandleShutdown

, referer: https://www.WEBSITE.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=simple-press%2Fadmin%2Fpanel-forums%2Fspa-forums.php

Any idea as to why this is happening?

( @mr-papa - you should recognise that path... )

That path is ancient! It is the old pre V5.0 path to custom icons (I think you will find) so has not been used going on for 3 years. You can also see that whatever is looking for it is looking when the admin manage forums panel is opened.

I have to be honest and say I have no idea what is causing it as we have bot used those pathways for a long, long time and I assume when you upgraded to V5 you followed the instructions and removed the old 'simple-form' folder from the WP plugins directory.

Are any of your storage locations pointing to that path by any chance?

Hi Guys,

I can't find the so called: "simple-form" or "simple-forum" (just incase that was a typo) and we've never done anything to point there...

well as Andy said, v4.x of simple press did use that directory...  you are using simple press 5.5.8 (or at least 5.x)?

what folders do you have in wp-content?  and in the wp plugins folder, only simple-press folder, right?

Andy's question on storage location, you would need to look at forum - integration - storage locations and check those values...

Hi,

I'm using the version that is one version older than the current so it's 5.8.x I would assume, it's definitely 5.x

And there is your problem and your rogue folder.

I would take a look at the wp-content/sp-resources folder where you should see a new one for custom icons and reset this in the locations.

If it is not there then just create one - you can call it whatever you prefer - and then reset the location.
