foreign = forum... auto correct...  err, or auto incorrect...

as to watch, looks like you are using the old style toolbar (sp not tinymce) instead of the integrated toolbar...  and when the 5.3.2 release comes out tomorrow, it will fix that issue that has gotten knocked (didnt notice since most use the integrated toolbar)...

do you just have base wishlist or bunch of its plugins?  its add on plugin are notorious for break the wp editor if used outside the admin... they are doing it wrong - not following the api...  we have passed the code correction to them but they seem to ignore it...  so if you have wishlist member add on plugins, try deactivating them...

I am using many of their plugins.

There's another thing regarding the tinyMCE:

I noticed that when activating the forum tinyMCE editor (Even though it doesn't show),

When clicking "Add Reply" the reply window opens, but is not responsive for several seconds. Sometimes, it is not responsive at all. When deactivating the forum plugin, using HTML or BBcode - there's no delay whatsoever.

Do you happen to know why ?

Another question: Do I have to install the TinyMCE wordpress plugin for the forum editor toolbar to work or do you have it integrated ?

Thanks,

Ronen.

you need our tinymce plugin - not the wp one... ours just uses the wp editor (ya know, the one you write blog posts with)... but if other plugins are incorrectly assuming the wp editor is only used in the admin, they will break the wp editor when used on the front end...

so the delay sounds like its running into errors - which is what would happen if another plugin is doing it wrong...

The good: The new version indeed solved problem 2.B

Regarding the TinyMCE toolbar - the problem is still there.

Indeed I have a bunch of wl plugins - but I turned the all off, and also turned all the simple-press plugins off (left only the tinyMCE running on simple press, and only simple-press plugin on wordpress).

Still no tool bar, it takes time till I the text window unfreezes if at all.

I update to the latest version, and now using unified theme.

Still the same.

Any advise ?

so, I assume you did select tinymce as default browser on forum - options - global settings?  and verify in you profile, that you have tinymce selected too...

did you ever give us a link to your site?

Did you copy both myself and  yellow swordfish?  and link back to this topic?  sometimes hard to match up pm to topic - and we get too many ;)

I copied only you (not sure how to copy swordfish). Now I also updated a link back to the topic in the PM.

BTW: That's a great idea for future release... automatic mentioning in the PM a link to the post it was made on... :-) .

I see at least 2 WP plugins that may be improperly adding components to the TinyMCE editor toolbar and which may be incorrectly trying to add them on the front-end where they are not wanted. One is Wishlist Tags and the other is Code Editor.

It is possible that one or more of the other WishList plugins is also adding a component to the editor but I have no knowledge of them so am unsure. You should know what plugins you are using have this behaviour.

For the sake of diagnostics it is important that these all be deactivated and the forum page re-run to see if the culprit is one of these. Once we know where the problem is we can see if it can be fixed.

I tried disabling ALL plugins. remaining with Simple press alone.

It still happened.

I provided an admin access info details to Mr Papa in a PM.

Let me share that with you as well.

Thanks for the help.
