whats there to update? was explained in post previous... at some point, we will see if we can get it working again for all users... in its last state, only worked for some and was too many headaches... but it is our intention to try to revive it better than before...

I am surprised at the number of reports about it missing since we had many about it not working (including for me) previously which is why it was removed... was not aware, frankly, that it was working for anyone...
so a ticket is open to try to reinstate it such that it works for all... No ETA as its a going to be tough to do...
until then, you have to insert the img tags manually... sorry...

No problem Steve.
I did know about this issue, but i dont know how to manually create a img tag.
Can you please give me an working code example that i can use as a guide at my forum.
Thanks in advance!
something like this:
<img src-"https://simple-press.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/megaphone-logo.png" alt="" title="" />
but the image will have to already be on a server somewhere...
actually a bit surprised to hear that you cannot upload... in testing, the uploader worked fine... will have to look into that... if there is an issue there, that may be something we can address more quickly...

disable the permission to upload images in signatures... wont affect html tags, just the uploader...
I have this fixed and working, but unfortunately, requires a core update... so may have to wait until end of month when we plan to release 5.5....

Okay, so when I'm disabling "Can upload signature images" in the permissions, the image uploader is still appearing in the profile. When I disable "Can attach a signature to posts" in addition, the upload option goes away. However, the signature tab is gone completely with the disabling of these two permissions...how can I allow members to insert code in their signatures while disabling the upload option?
So after disabling the one I mentioned did you check it out as user or admin? Remember that admins have all permissions so you would still see it... If so, please try as user...
