Hey Peter,

Can you check Forum > Integration > Page and Permalink, and see what your setting is for 'Filter WP List Pages'.. Also could you try changing it (off or on depending on what it already is) and see if that helps?

If filter list pages doesn't make any difference then your WP theme / nav menu plugin is probably doing something a little out of the ordinary.

If you can edit the menu, try making a manual link to the forum page as opposed to selecting it to be included..

I just edited the menu with a manuel link to Forum. It didn't change anything.

The name Forum only disapear when you are on the Forum, but the link  to fourm is still there and is active. On the screendump I tried to move curser on the menu.

Perhaps the problem is that Simplepress makes the link black in the menu when you are on Forum?

If so do you know the CSS I have to change?

Simple Press only removes the page title if that option is selected (Forum > Options > General Display Settings > Remove Page Title Completely). This is known to have a problem with some third party WP themes / Nav menu's as sometimes they don't do things 100% by the book. You could always try putting the page title back using this option, but you will probably be left with 'Forum' appearing above your forum which for the most part is undesirable.

Unfortunately it's not just a case of SP removing the nav menu item with CSS so it can't be resolved with a quick CSS change.

The point of making a manual nav menu item called 'Forum' with nothing but a link to the forum page is that it shouldn't disappear. If that works then you can remove the default forum item from the menu, or exclude it from being used however your theme / nav menu does things.

Are you saying you made a manual link and it disappeared also?

Yes, I the the filter wp list pages enabled.

But I found two solutions - one better than the other:-)

#1 (Forum > Options > General Display Settings > Remove Page Title Completely) PLUS a plugin in Genesis: Hide title. That is the best solution.

#2. Change the name of the label in custom link...But you couldn't name it forum...Thanks for good support:-)

interesting...  a while back, we had issues with genesis title, but changing priority on a couple hooks solved it...  and not a general issue with Genesis (we run a custom Genesis child theme here)...

but good find, none the less...
