Support Forum
Hi guys,
We are in the process of rebuilding our site silverhairs.com and moving to silversurfers.com, however the forum will not show. I have updated the permalink and am not sure what else I can do to find the cause.
Can you help?
Site is here: http://www.silversurfers.com/wp-admin
Thx,
Simon.
This account is not a Simple:Press Admin account so we can;'t really look at anything in detail within the administrative panels of the forum. I would suggest you use a PM to send the credentials as well to keep them private (please send to myself AND to Mr Papa with links to the site, this topic and a brief reminder of the issue).
Perhaps while you upgrade the account and send that to us you can also just tell us how the site was moved?

The first and most obvious problem relates to the storage locations (see forum admin > Integration > Page and permalink).
ONE of them does not exist which means, I feel sure, that the last upgrade was unable to create it. ALL of them are not denied access to write to. So a basic permissions problem in your wp-content folder tree. These need checking and correcting.
And the missing folder needs creating.
When that is done if we still have issues then let me know and I will go back for a second look.

have tried looking at it a couple of times... but the site keeps dying with a 503 unavailable error... will try again later...

slow... but could access it... quite odd... not getting any forum stuff on that page, but clearly selected... have to wonder if there is any error occurring in the page load...
anything in your php error log?
also, perhaps turn on WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file and see if any more info reported on a page load...

is your wp theme current? its throwing a couple of warnings about wp compatibility...
but doubt its related...
as a quick test, can you switch the theme to a wp default theme and see if it displays?
