so can you provide more info?? a link to your site so we can look for obvious conflicts would be best...

It doesn't look like there are any conflicts, at least nothing in the browser console. Although the only popup I can see as a non forum admin is the information link in the footer which isn't loading either.
Could you check Integration > Page and Permalink, and see whether 'Load Javascript in Footer' is checked? Try changing whatever it's set to and give that a try.
Also what are your settings in Forum > Options > Global Settings > CSS/JS caching?

"Load Javascript in Footer" was not checked. I ticked the checkbox and reloaded the forums. Problems remains.

Nothing happens in the console when I click on the button.
Edit: By that I mean, the console is empty before I click, and after.

I suspect that the only way we may be able to work out what is happening is if we can have SP Admun access to the forum so we can try the button...
