Hi, a lot of our users are registering with only their email address, this means that shows under their name in full. I need a way to stop this from displaying when they haven't registered a name, it needs to **** out the majority of their email otherwise it's open to huge abuse.

Hi - sorry for the late reply on this - not sure how I missed it.  Anyway, are you saying that the users are setting their user name to their email address?  Which registration screen is being used to allow them to register on the WP site?

Regardless, the display name can be changed in the user profile to remove their email address.  But that's not something that we can do automatically - each user will need to do that themselves.  Or an admin/moderator will have to it for them.
