I would really like to notify the users of our forum via email when new topics are added to our forum. I have figured out how to send admins notifications. Can't get members to work. Please help!!!

As I said in reply to your email, yes this is available via the SP Subscriptions plugin.

I have the plugin installed. It's not working. Notifications are not being sent to all members when a new topic is posted. And yes I've configured the settings properly and allowed members to subscribe.

You said allowed... Have they actually subscribed to any topics or forums? They have to opt in and subscribe... They don't receive notifications until they subscribe - hence the name subscriptions...

hello,

I have the subscriptions plugin enabled and have ticked to allow users to subscribe to forums as well as topics.

As a user I can't see where the subscribe button is though?

Yea they have. Well at least the individuals I am testing notifications with have.

I even made one o them an admin sand he still isn't receiving notifications when a new topic is added to the forum.

He did receive the weekly digest though.

Nothing in spam folder either.

-161-Jon, have you give your users permission to subscribe to topics?  check your permissions...

jdevore, have answered you in your other topic on subscriptions... one topic per issue please...
