That is something that we haven't seen working either. And something that we have really been missing.

One of the items I have starred for the on-going rewrite (V6) is the development of a more comprehensive notifications sub-system with an improved UI etc. That won't help you of course, because it is a long way off but I wanted to just say we are aware that it could do with an update.

I can see the logic in a notification that one of your posts has been quoted. Again - nothing we have been asked for before which is probably the main reason it does not do this now. I rather fancy it would be pretty easy to achieve using the current sub-system as long as it doesn't need to be optional. If we can slip it in to the next update we will do so.  

That would be fantastic if you could.
