I am guessing that this would be the reason but if not please do come back and give me some more detail.

As to new users appearing in the new user lists - afraid I have no idea why this should be the case in the WP user list which is not something I have heard of happening before. However, the SP new users list at the bottom of the forum display is cached and updates - by default - once an hour. So hopefully it will catch up. If it does not then it might mean your WordPress CRON system is not working. If this is the case come back when sure and we can try to get it moving again.

OK - that is the more common reason for this. So users just register using the standard, core WordPress form etc.?

It seems to me at the moment that you have an array of issues which all point to code failing to load on your site. Could you give me a url to your forum page?

Perhaps you could also tell me where you are seeing the fatal errors? As a  guest I am not seeing anything although I see you do not have the Unified theme active.

We do not usually do this - preferring users to create accounts for us - but do you object to me registering to see what happens?

Which is itself pretty bizarre as the theme you are using now makes a call to the very same function in the equivalent theme template. That, perhaps, might suggest corruption in the downloaded file.
