As admin, I receive an email after a topic is added to the forum. When I log in as my test user, I add a topic and I subscribe and watch, I do not receive an email notification. After reading other messages on this topic I still haven't found a solution. Please help, thanks!

Patience is a virtue. It appears that the email function for new posts is now working - it just takes a while longer than expected. I'm all set that now, thanks, and my client is very happy!

I am experiencing the same problem again. As admin I get notifications, but as a member I do not. When I click the "submit topic" I see a message appear saying that the topic has been saved.

Don't know if this helps, but in error log is the following php error for November 21st when I modified the users for this forum:

No - that warning has no relevance.
WordPress is notorious for emails not being sent - it is a common problem across all WP based sites (and it is WP sending emails - not SP).
We usually recommend the use of something like the HGK SMTP WordPress plugin which seems to resolve email issues for just about everyone - includng us on this site!

Is there something else beside HMK? That appears to be more for gmail addresses, unless I'm reading it wrong, and my test message didn't work using my SMTP info.

Not sure hat you mean by gmail addresses - we use it here with no problem and there is no gmail involved.
If you are still having problems - and I assume you have double checked all of your email settings in both WP and SP - then perhaps you should speak to your host. There may be a log of email attempts or they may know why you're having problems.

yes... HGK SMTP works with any smtp or gmail...
your smtp serve address should be localhost... leave ssl unchecked... put in your smtp port (default is 25)... put in your smtp username (often your email address or just blank)... put in your smtp password (could be blank)... you can get your smtp outgoing server settings from your email client (not the receive server, but outgoing)...

Thanks, yes, I did all that and was able to send a test message via that plugin. However, when I added a new topic, no one got it; I didn't even get the admin notification (although I may have been logged in as admin). So I'm still in the same situation: no email is being sent. Also no private messages. I should add that was working well at one point. I removed some members as requested by client and then everything stopped working. Any ideas?
