Support Forum
I'm sorry to hear HGK doesn't resolve the issue. I think you may be the first to come back and report that. I really do think the next step for this is to talk to your hosting support to see if they can come up with a reason. WordPress emails come up a lot on the WP forums so they may well have encountered this before. It is a WordPress function not a Simple:Press function - we just call the wp_mail() routines.
Again - assuming you have double checked the email settings in the forum admin options and they are correct then most usually HGK takes care of things. It might, I suppose, be worth checking in the php error logs just in case there is some sort of code conflict somewhere on the site.
On the PM issue can you explain exactly what you mean? How and what doesn't work and what changed at the time it stopped working because removing user records shouldn't effect things - there is no interaction there as such.

I don't want to be first for this one. I must be missing something. I set things up in HGK - where else in the forum admin am I doing the same? The hosting company (godaddy) had nothing to offer, saying that WordPress is not their "thing".
On the PM issue: It also use to work when I would click the PM button on the post, but now the PM doesn't go anywhere - same as the other emails.
The only email I get to work is the test one via HGK.
I'm pretty sure I'm missing something.
Thanks!
LOL on the hosting company. If I had set up this account, it certainly wouldn't be there. It's an inherited headache.
So I'm looking at the email settings in the forum admin and I think that's correct, but maybe not. Edited screen shot of email setting (dummy names to protect the client). Is this the right format or am I doing it wrong? Since my latest post went nowhere I can only conclude I've lost my mind and have no idea what I'm doing.
Thanks!
nope, just the settings in the options panel...
