Your problem revolves around the timezone settings. Please read this short article: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....conds-ago/ (ignore the title - this applies to this issue as well).
Especially try and avoid the UTC settings that show a + or - value. Try and use the continent/country/city codes instead. In both the WP and SP profile settings. When I changed the timezone of the user you created for me I instantly got the post you just made listed as new correctly.

Thanks, that worked perfectly. The widget in the dashboard doesn't show the unread posts though like it did with version 4, is that feature gone?

The recent posts widget - while offering far more options than before - still performs the same basic function. What is it you think is missing?

Andy, is referring to the widget in the admin dashboard...
do you have the admin bar plugin? that is what puts the posts there now...

Just want to update the original issues.
I got several reports from members, that a page refresh do not help. Unread topics continue to show zero. It happens to me as well, from time to time, but mostly a page refresh does make the unread post numbers to appear again.
Any hopes to solve my forum issues with next SP version?

dont know since this still remains a unique one off occurrence... there is one change to the unread post list that will be in 5.1 but since we cannot duplicate it, dont know if it will help your situation or not... 5.1 is slated to release on the 31st of May...
other than that, I am not sure where Andy is on his research of this one... Is is gone for most of today, so probably tomorrow before he gets back on this...

I used SP as forum platform at my swedish MMORPG community during the last 3.5 year, and i was hoping to continue following years as well.

Well my plan at the moment is to ask you to upgrade to 5.1 later this week and we will see if the minor changes I have made make any difference.
If they don't - my next plan was to ask you to run some special debug code which should enable me to see just where things are getting reset. But I was hoping to run with 5.1 first.

Updated both forum, default theme and child theme to 5.1, but i am afraid all issues remain.

So if you willing I can out some debug code in place - we can make that so that it s not visible to the end user - and I can try and determine just where your your data is being cleared.
if that s OK with you I will design what I need here.
