Can you as an admin see the text?

The user who can't see the text is an admin - I can see it (as an admin) but others can without admin privileges.

hmmm...if you create a new admin, can the new admin see the text?

Sorry got a little busy. I created a new admin and the new admin CANNOT see the text. Does that help?

I switched the role to a regular member and the text appeared!

Under the FORUM->ADMINS->MANAGE ADMINS screen, all the boxes are checked for the new admin?

Yes all boxes are checked.

Another issue has been identified - if a user has the URL of the forums, but is not logged in, they still see the message headers and can navigate in the forums, but can't see the text of the messages (similar to the issue people are experiencing while logged in.) Not logged in users can even see and view the attachments for the message. Seems like it might be a related issue?
