Hi,

I have been trouble shooting and resolving any issues I have had so far, but I am not sure what I am overlooking here. Hopefully, you can guide me in the right direction.

The policy documents are not displaying, in Explorer the message states “Policy Document Not Found” and in Firefox the message is:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.”

I have loaded the text document in the wp-content/sp-resources/forum-policies folder because they didn’t go automatically. Unfortunately I host with economy hosting at godaddy and I have no access to server error logs. I am not sure what the issue could be or even where to look, any suggestions?

check the permissions on the file... and owner... and make sure they are web user accessible...

did you point you police doc settings to use that file?  forum - components - policy docs...

Yes the permissions are good and the storage location is set to that file.

that means the permissions or owner of the file are such that the web user cannot access...  please check them...

so on forum - integration - storage locations... for policy docs location it is pointing to this location you can now read?

and you have only the filename on forum - components - policy docs?

do you have a link to your site with the policy link?

Yes, Yes, and I am not sure what you mean by link to my site? Do you mean in the text document or do you want the link to see the text document? I put that below just in case.

I wanted the link to the doc and the site... got them both from there... thanks!

but very odd...  first report of such behaviour and many folks are using this...  and its a 500 error which usually means some sort of configuration issue...

what is the permissions of the text file?

anything in the server error log?  usually more info comes from 500 errors...

out of curiosity, have you also tried the privacy policy one?

also, can you post an image of your policy doc options?
