I am trying to move a post to another topic, and although the menu appears, and allows me to make all the correct choices, once I click "move" - nothing happens.
I've also tried writing the post out myself and choosing "re-assigning" post to reassign it to the original author - but again, I write in their ID number and nothing happens.

I would like to take these one at a time so let's start with the 'move'.
You do not say whether this move is to a new or an existing topic which we need to know...?

I tried to do both of these things and neither worked. Ideally, I wanted to move it to a new topic.
I followed the prompts (chose the forum to move it to, gave it a new title, clicked move) and then the page reloaded. But the topic is still in the same place and there has been no new topic added. I tried this on both explorer and in chrome.
I also logged in and out again a couple of times before and after doing it.
I'm an admin and I checked with the plugin settings in wordpress that I have all the correct permissions, all boxes are ticked - ie manage toolbox, manage forums etc - all boxes are ticked.

OK - looking at this and testing a little further I think we do have some sort of problem. Apologies for that. I am surprised though that you do not see the message box appear that tells you what the problem is but I m seeing it here.
I am opening a bug report here and we will get it fixed up ASAP. We are planning an imminent update as it happens.

I can give you a code fix for the move post tool if you fancy making the small change. But - as I said above - we do plan an update - possibly in a few days if all goes well.

Hi there, I haven't heard from you?
Any ideas when this will be fixed? It's a fairly important feature - being able to move posts to another topic. For instance, I have a "professionals only" forum - one of our members has last night accidentally posted in the "standard" forum and for confidentiality reasons, I really need to move it to the professionals only forum - but because this is broken I can't do so.
Do you have any work arounds while this is being fixed?
I tried to "log in as this member" on the back end of the wordpress site using my membership plugin (Membermouse) in order to manually move it - but it looks like I can't do this either.
Any advice that I can get quickly would be most helpful.

This was fixed in 5.7.5 which was released on June 18th...

My simple press plug in is up to date and says I'm on version 5.7.5.1 (see screen shot attached)
It isn't working for me. Same problem as last time:
I click on the post, click tools, click move post, move this post only, move to a new topic, type the name of the topic and click move. The page refreshes (by the way, not sure if this is relevant but during the re-loading process right down the bottom of the page on the address bar, I can see the address google analytics flash for a second before it redirects) and once it has refreshed, the topic is in the same page.
I'm using chrome.
I've tried logging in and out again, using a private browser - still nothing happens.
