did you clear your combined js cache on forum - toolbox - housekeeping? its normally done on upgrade, but worth verifying... and your browser cache while at it...

I've cleared my browser cache.
I don't have the option to clear the "combined js" cache in toolbox/housekwwping.

Then it sounds like you have some sort of local problem. Clear the Simple:Press error log (Toolbox) and then try the tool action again. Then look in the error log to see if any errors are reported - errors being the pink coloured ones.

I cleared the error log and tried the tool action again (once again, it loads - wheel spins - and then finishes loading but the post is still in the same place). There was no entries in the error log at all.

It does appear to be working as expected so... if no php issue then we need to look at the AJAX call to see if that is being tripped up. Can you open your web console - have it open to show errors. Then run the same test as before and see if anything is reported in the console?
