I get this error on the forum homepage.

If I try to open a post (via my browser's favorites) I get this other error:

Access denied - you do not have permission to view this page

This happened after upgrading from 4.5.1 to 5.2

Something messed up with permissions.

What I need to do now?

I made a screencast of the entire upgrading process. If you think it's usefull to solve my problem, I can send you a link to the video.

We have had a few users with this issue sadly and never been able to trace the cause.
Can you firstly try going to the forum admin > Toolbox > Housekeeping and click on the reset user auths task just to see if that clears it.

If not - then may I ask if you have complex Simple:Press permissions set up or are your permissions more or less the same as the defaults you started with when it was first installed?

Nothing happened.

Permissions? yes, you may say they are a bit complex.

I had completely hidden some groups and forums.

... but I can try to reset all to default and then change permissions again.

How can I do it?

Update: Permissions > Reset Permissions

did the work.

Now I'm going to manually set the permissions again, but I'm pretty happy with the result.

I thought this would be an unsolvable problem

Good news. I am just sorry you were hit by this unfound gremlin in the works.
