I am not receiving private message mails when I get a new private message (I am the Admin) or I should say I do get new private message mails but it seems only when I reply to a private message and then I keep getting the same initial message sent to me in the new private message mail.
Any idea what is going on?

Well first - have you definitely set the option to receive emails for PMs in your forum profile?
And next - I am not sure quite what you mean by 'then I keep getting the same initial message sent to me in the new private message mail.' Can you expand on that please?
Next - what about other emails? New post notifications, new registrations etc., Are you receiving those?

The receive an email when someone sends you a private message is enabled.
What I mean is that I get a mail notification with the contents of the initial message and not the latest message in the private post as I would expect.
I do get new registration mails. I have not enabled new post notification but perhaps I should check that too.
I do have the Cimy Swift SMTP plugin installed. I think you recommended a SMTP plugin in some post I read?

A lot of people find an SMTP plugin gets them around the WP mail issues which are notorious.
I have to ask about this though: 'I get a mail notification with the contents of the initial message'. The content of the PM is never included in the email. It is just a simple notification that you have received one. ?

Ok yes then I think it is working as it is supposed to.
Where can I translate the PM notification mail text?
