Problem Updating simple press to 5.5.6

Hello
When I try to update simple press to 556 from 555, WP returns me a "can't remove old plugin, unable to finish update".
I have the same error for simple press plugins and themes
What's wrong?

Not sure to be honest. That's WordPress informing you - not SP.
The only reason that comes to mind is if the folder or file permissions do not allow it to be carried out automatically.
I would probably take a look at the WP support forum to see if there are any pointers goven as to why this might happen. Or - you can, of course, always update manually - https://simple-press.com/docum.....version-5/ - which would get you back on the road.
